As I Thought...

Governor Newsom just extended our closure until May 4th. 

Am I surprised? No.

I do think we are "flattening the curve" and hope to be back May 4th.  I want to thank you all for the outpouring of support, and to assure you that I am prepared for this. As an American I am accustomed to carrying debt... not my favorite business model but we will be around for you! 

I am also preparing a lot of contingency plans for an "open for business with stipulations" scenario. I feel that in 4 weeks, everyone packing into the salon will be a no-go for our health.  We have 7 days to spread things out into different shifts; we can minimize our interactions by having 1 or 2 people only per room with masks on... hell, we can move the chairs outside the sliders and cut outside!  We are industrious people, we have lots of options and we will make it through this struggle.  What matters is how... my plan for survival is to be compassionate, have integrity and my normal perseverance.  I want ZERO regrets when we get through this crisis.  

COLOR KITS

Your Kit will include YOUR EXACT COLOR formula in a sealed cup, a separate pre-measured tube of peroxide, a whisk for mixing, a brush for applying the tint and here is a link to an online tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a_sUFAup9s&t=122s.  

HOW DO I GET ONE?  Go online and book an appointent called Color Kit. Pick a time that is available and show up. Need delivery? I can make that happen.. if I receive multiple delivery requests, I will schedule a day for it.  Here is a direct link:

The cost of the kit is  $55. The profit from these kits will be distributed to everyone at the Salon - your stylist, the assistants,  the receptionists, and with the smallest portion going to the Salon to help pay the rent and the cost of the kits.  There is a bit of sacrifice in this for all, but in the end I think a little bit goes a long way.  United we stand, right? Well at least 6 feet apart of course.

The most important thing to us all right now is to protect ourselves and the wider community by observing Government and WHO advice. We understand how some of you may be having a serious hair crisis.  

I ask that you please don't put my employees into a situation where they are violating the law, but more importantly, risking their health (and yours!) and extending this shutdown.

COVID-19

In case you were wondering if it’s safe to come in to Edward's Salon during these uncertain times, we wanted to reassure you of the usual and extra measures we are taking right now. 
We are monitoring the situation closely and day by day - at the moment, we’re operating business as usual and look forward to seeing you for your next appointment. 

When you’re here, you should know that:

  • CDC recommends 70% isypropyl alchohol... we use 99.9%! We spray all touched surfaces between clients... Though we know all of you are the cleanest Marin has to offer!

  • We store our implements in Barbicide.

  • Our staff are washing their hands after every single client, WHO says 20 seconds... we do it for 22! That is 2 hours in Millennial time!

  • We are disinfecting our reception desk after every transaction and all door handles at regular intervals throughout the day.

  • We accept Apple/GooglePay/contactless transactions. 

  • We are checking in with staff daily to ensure they are health and well, and have not been in contact with anyone who has travelled from the worst affected Covid-19 areas.


If you have a cold, a sniffle, a cough, fever or are feeling unwell, firstly, we are sorry to hear it! And secondly, we would ask that you kindly reschedule your appointment so that we can see you when you’re back feeling fighting fit. 
If and when the time comes that we need to take extra measures, we will do so in the most responsible way as advised by the right authorities.
